In Their Hour of Need: Thame Emergency Response
Back in August, AHF supporter and alpinist Kevin Sánchez was deeply saddened to learn about the tragic destruction following a glacial flood in the Sherpa village of Thame.
So, this holiday season, Kevin — a wealth manager at one of the top global financial institutions — was moved to help support the people in the Everest region rebuild their lives by making a gift to AHF on behalf of his workplace.
“It is with deep gratitude for our own blessings and in solidarity with the people of Thame that we are proud to support the AHF’s vital work. Together, we can help rebuild not only structures but also hope,” said Kevin, who will be traveling to Nepal in April of 2025. There he will attempt to summit Everest, the sixth peak in his goal of completing all of the Seven Summits.
While there, also he looks forward to further helping by donating time at a local hospital in Kathmandu, using his Marine paramedic training to help the children and other patients. Go Kevin!
As we get close to a new year, please join Kevin in supporting the people of Thame by donating to AHF’s flood relief effort. Your karma will shine.
